Driver apprehended after foot chase

PITSBURG - A young man was apprehended after a foot chase after it was learned that he had been driving a stolen car involved in an accident.On Thursday, Darke County deputies, along with Arcanum Rescue and Pitsburg Fire, were dispatched to Pitsburg-Laura Road just east of Gettysburg-Pitsburg Road in reference to a minor injury accident.The initial investigation revealed that a 2004 Jeep, driven by Patricia Nichols, 51, of Arcanum, was eastbound on Pitsburg-Laura Road when a 2003 Pontiac, driven by a male subject, pulled out of a driveway striking Nichols’ vehicle. The male driver then fled the scene on foot, westbound on Pitsburg-Laura Road.Nichols was treated by Arcanum Rescue and was transported to Wayne HealthCare with minor injuries.
