Tae kwon do promoted at Greenville academy

GREENVILLE — Six students were promoted during December at Wittler’s Black Belt Academy in Greenville.

Sensei Daniel Wittler, the owner and head instructor, was promoted to a second degree black belt. Julie Kramer was promoted to green belt, Alix Stevens was promoted to orange belt, Trevor Swiger was promoted to orange belt, Micheal Alexander was promoted to purple belt, and Peyton McCartney was promoted to yellow belt.

“We are very proud of all our students who are dedicated, respectful and hard working,” Wittler said. “Congrats to them all.”

Wittler’s Black Belt Academy specializes in sport tae kwon do, self defense and cardio kick boxing. In the upcoming months it is scheduled to add mixed martial arts concepts to its offerings.

The academy has been open in Greenville for two-and-a-half years. It has 35 students of all abilities from age 3 to adults.
