Tri-Village grad earns all-conference honors

CEDARVILLE — Tri-Village graduate Kayla Linkous was named to the Great Midwest Athletic Conference’s honorable mention team.

Linkous, a sophomore forward for the Cedarville University women’s basketball team, was one of four Yellow Jackets to earn all-conference honors. Two of her teammates, Kayla Jenerette and Raegan Ryan, were voted first team all-league while she and Deborah Gordon were named to the honorable mention team.

Linkous averages 12.0 points per game and 6.0 rebounds per game for Cedarville, both of which are second best on the team. She has played in all 26 of the Yellow Jackets’ games this season and made 14 starts.

The daughter of Randy Linkous and Christy Sarver also leads the GMAC with a .586 field goal percentage.
