Greenville boys tennis team sweeps Eaton

EATON — The Greenville boys tennis team swept Eaton 5-0 on Friday.

In first singles Greenville’s Voja Tatarevic beat Austin Mendenhall 6-2, 6-0. In the second singles match the Green Wave’s Evan Kiser beat Josh Hickman 6-1, 6-2. At third singles Greenville’s Javi Bixler beat Rick Coggeshall 6-2, 6-0.

In first doubles Greenville’s Dylan Blinn and Nathan Haviza beat Michel McKelvin and Logan Islamovsky 6-0, 6-2. At second doubles Masen Rich and Sean Wolter beat Blake Melling and Nathan Hatmaker 6-4, 6-3.

Greenville improved to 8-4 with the win while Eaton fell to 2-9.

The Greenville junior varsity team won 3-0 against Eaton. Darin Gusek won in singles. The Green Wave doubles teams of Adam Null and Quintin Muhlenkamp plus Craig Manges and Noah Haupt also won.
