VERSAILLES — The Versailles baseball team lost 3-0 to Fort Recovery Monday in a game that was resumed in the top of the fifth inning after rain and lightning previously halted it on April 29.
All of the runs were scored in the team’s first attempt to play the game last week with Fort Recovery scoring two in the second and one in the third.
Fort Recovery out-hit Versailles seven to four in the game. Versailles made two errors while Fort Recovery made one.
Jared Heitkamp pitched the complete game for the Tigers, allowing three unearned runs on seven hits, two walks and four strikeouts.
Mike Davidson led the Versailles offense as he was 2-for-3 with a double. Mitch Gigandet went 1-for-2, and Jake Wenning was 1-for-3.
