GREENVILLE – Greenville City Park Board Vice President Dale Musser submitted his resignation from the board on Friday. He will continue in the position until the end of the year.
“It has been wonderful to serve the City of Greenville and the many folks who enjoy our parks. There have been many positive aspects over the years, but the negative issues always seems to rise to the top. We were able to keep the pool open while other communities closed their pools. Some communities even closed their entire parks due to budget constraints. I would like to thank the city, the community, the many volunteers and past and present board members for their support of our park,” wrote Musser in an email to The Daily Advocate.
Musser said his third three-year term on the board ended last year, but he had told Mayor Michael Bowers he would stay on one more year “to aid in the budget process.”
He has served on the board since 2003, he said.
