Leukemia sufferer now cancer-free

Julie Keihl was diagnosed with leukemia in 2006, and today is feeling great, she said. She loves spending time outdoors, enjoying the flowers and yard work.


VERSAILLES - Julie Keihl advises everyone to be concerned with their health.

“I would like for everyone out there to know that if things don’t seem right, to be checked out, said the Versailles woman, who was diagnosed with leukemia in 2006. “Don’t chance it like I did. It can save your life and make recovery time a little shorter and easier. I wish I would have known earlier.”

Keihl, who turned 64 on Sept. 30, said it was during the summer of 2006 that she was working a full-time job at Abrasive Sources in Russia, Ohio, plus a part-time job as a waitress at Sideliners in Versailles, and it was getting to where she was tired all of the time.
