Editor:
Once again I thought this election was no different than any other. It’s always the same, picking the lesser of two evils. But this year is different. This election is probably the most important election of my life and the lives of my children and grandchildren.
For the sake of our God given rights, established in the Constitution by our forefathers, the American people need to put their party affiliation aside and vote with right judgement. This election is about life and freedom. It is about the life of the unborn and the elderly. It is about the First Amendment and the Freedom of Religion. In my wildest dreams, I never thought that my own government officials, who swore to uphold my rights when put into office, would force me to violate my conscience with items like the mandate, but this is what we are facing.
So please, when you go vote in this election, I ask you to vote for Gov. Romney. Please do not permit our government to force me and like-minded Americans to participate in activities that we find incredibly repugnant and wrong. This is the United States. We don’t force vegetarians to eat meat. We don’t make the Amish use electricity. But, we are on the verge of making Christians pay for drugs and procedures that cause the death of thousands of unborn, innocent children. All Americans should find this outrageous and offensive. Even if you are pro-choice, you must see how wrong it is to force this practice onto those who disagree with it.
Please help protect the rights of your fellow Americans.
