Editor:
On Nov. 6 the citizens of this great country will again elect our president, as the people have done since the late 1700’s. And, as always, there are pros and cons as to who will best represent the many diverse beliefs, aspirations, and goals of the people that person will represent. As members of the electorate we must carefully examine the choices that we are presented to fill this, the highest office in our land.
Most of us are members of the Republican, Democratic, Libertarian, or one of many other parties. Still others of us maintain that we are truly independent and that we look solely to the individual running for the office. Wherever we fit into this collage of people we must ask ourselves “Which candidate truly possesses those qualities which will make him a leader of “all the people” of this great nation?”To that end we must look beyond the endless political chatter put forth about each candidate.
We must do our best to get a glimpse of the ‘true man’ that could, if elected on Nov. 6, lead this nation and its people to greater heights than we have ever been. We must choose the individual that acts, first and foremost, to the needs and goals of this nation. We were founded as a nation “Of the People, By the People and For the People.” Let us endeavor to make our choice on Nov. 6 with that goal in mind. I believe that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan possess those characteristics that make them uniquely qualified to lead this nation into the future.
I therefore urge all citizens to do their research, search their hearts and make their own choice. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan can lead this nation with your vote.
