TIPP CITY – Franklin Monroe reached new milestones in the 2012 season, but the Lady Jets’ soccer team couldn’t overcome Troy Christian Tuesday night.

Franklin Monroe (9-5-5) lost 3-0 to Troy Christian (17-1) Tuesday night at Bethel High School in the Lady Jets’ third game of the Ohio High School Athletic Association tournament to end their season.

“Can’t take anything away from Troy Christian, but the Jets played with a lot of heart today,” Franklin Monroe girls soccer coach Scott Howell said. “And I don’t think anybody is upset that we lost. More upset that it’s over.”
