Sept., 7, 2008: Obama said,“Washington is broken. My whole campaign has been premised from the start on the idea that we have to fundamentally change how Washington works.” Four years later, he said, “You can’t change Washington from the inside.” According to his own words, Obama’s entire 2008 campaign was based on a false premise.
2008: Obama called Bush’s deficit spending a “failure in leadership” and “unpatriotic,” yet, Obama has created more debt in four years than Bush did in eight years! Obama promised to “cut the deficit we inherited by half by the end of my first term.” Instead, he has added over $6 trillion of debt.
2009: Obama said we had to pass the $800 billion stimulus. He promised the stimulus would provide millions of “shovel ready jobs,” and it would ensure unemployment wouldn’t exceed 8 percent. A year and a half later, he laughingly admitted that there was “no such thing as a shovel ready job.” September marked the 43rd consecutive month with unemployment above 8 percent.
Feb. 9, 2009: Obama said if he didn’t fix the economy in three years, he wouldn’t be re-elected. Yes, he had a very tough job to do. But, he asked for the job, and said he could fix the problems. He hasn’t. What would he do if re-elected? He told the 2012 DNC that he’d do “bold, persistent experimentation” like FDR. But, FDR didn’t end the Depression, many think he extended it. We cannot endure another four years of Obama’s failed experiments.
