Canan, Enis earn district's top honors

DARKE COUNTY – Bradford’s James Canan and Curtis Enis earned top honors from The Associated Press, leading the all-district awards earned by each of Darke County’s six high school football teams.

Canan, a senior running back for Bradford, was named the Southwest District’s Division VI offensive player of the year. He had 2,254 yards and 30 touchdowns on 194 carries this season, setting the Railroaders’ rushing records for a game, season and career in the process.

Enis was named the Southwest District Division VI coach of the year for leading Bradford to its first winning season since 1994 and its second playoff appearance, the first since 1982.
