Chloe Sowry (No. 7), a member of the varsity Tri-Village youth football team, catches the ball and runs for a 25-yard gain before taken down by an Arcanum player. Chloe is the daughter of Rob and Matti Sowry.
NEW MADISON – When Chloe Sowry walks on the field, it causes some of the opposing players and fans to do a double take. But to the Tri-Village fifth grader, she’s just another one of the boys.
Chloe is the lone girl on the Tri-Village youth football team. The 10 year old recently completed her fourth year of youth football and said she enjoys playing the sport that is traditionally dominated by boys.
“It’s fun. It’s not like a bunch of girls play football. And (my teammates) tease around with me sometimes, but I tease around with them, too,” she said about her experience playing football at Tri-Village.
