PITSBURG – Under the new supervision of coach Troy Myers, the Franklin Monroe boys basketball team seeks to build upon their past success and charge into a fresh season.
For Myers and his team, this year is about building a program that promotes personal growth and athletic achievement.
“The play on the court will be a byproduct of the relationships we build with the kids and the culture of the program,” Myers said. “When we started in April we talked about the structure of our program. I told the kids its not me top down. It’s more of a level deal where everyone is equally important, and I truly mean that.”
The Jets graduated Jaden Horner last year, but retained their core starting lineup in Travis Fietshans, Trey Mong, Marcus Horner and Devin Fourman.
