GREENVILLE
- Family and friends of victims that lost their lives in crashes this year gathered at the Lighthouse Christian Center Saturday evening for a candlelight vigil.
Names of the 16 people who died on Darke County roadways and the few that where involved in fatal crashes in Mercer County were read aloud.
Chris Clark of the Darke County Sheriff’s Office and Pastor Doug Baker of the Ft. Jefferson United Methodist Church were invited to speak at the ceremony. A few family members of the tragic crash that claimed three local teens in October brought pictures of the boys.
A second vigil is planned for early 2013, but no date has yet been set.
