Firefighter injured battling house fire

GREENVILLE
- A firefighter suffered minor injuries while crews battled a two-alarm structure fire Wednesday at 732 Washington Ave. in Greenville.
The Greenville Fire Department were first to respond to the 2-story home, just south of South Middle School. Heavy smoke and flames were visible on the second floor of the structure.
The fire originated from a vanity in a bathroom on the second floor before extending out into the hallway. The area suffered extensive damage.
Firefighters quickly gained control over the fire. Additional departments from Greenville Township, Ansonia and New Madison also responded for mutual aid.
