Child abuse case investigated by police

GREENVILLE
- Greenville Police Department was dispatched to Children's Medical Center Nov. 28 on a report of a 2-week-old infant with significant injuries.
The baby suffered numerous injuries, including broken legs ribs and arm, swelling and bleeding of the brain, bleeding on the spine and bruising on the face.
The investigation revealed the injuries were received in the city of Greenville. The case was submitted to the Darke County Prosecutor's Office for charges to be filed against both parents. The child is currently in the custody of the Darke County Children Services.
