GREENVILLE – Buchy Food Service, based out of Greenville was acquired by Sysco Cincinnati effective this past Friday.

“No question about it, this is a very good opportunity for our people and our customers to have better ways to earn more,” State Representative and ex-Buchy Food Service CEO Jim Buchy said.

The acquisition process began five months ago when Sysco approached Buchy Food Service about a possible merger, although the Greenville business was not for sale at the time. According to Buchy, Sysco was interested in Buchy Food Services because of the character and integrity of their staff, and the quality of their product.
