MV, Versailles win matches


MINSTER – The Mississinawa Valley boys and both of Versailles’ teams won their West Ohio High School Bowling Conference matches Saturday at Community Lanes in Minster.

In boys bowling, Mississinawa Valley beat New Bremen 2,376-2,318. The Versailles boys beat Parkway 3,075-2,361. Ansonia’s boys lost 2,530-2,003 to St. Marys.

Mississinawa Valley improved to 2-5 with the win, and Versailles improved to 5-2 with its win. Ansonia fell to 1-6 on the season.

Versailles’ Michael Davidson had the day’s best score as he rolled a 258. He also had the third best score of the day with a 240. Versailles’ Ben Ahrens had the seventh best score of the day as he rolled a 230.

In girls bowling, Versailles beat Marion Local 2,447-1,879. Ansonia’s girls lost 1,914-0 to New Bremen while Mississinawa Valley lost 2,091-1,904 to Parkway.

Versailles improved to 7-0 on the season with its win. Mississinawa Valley fell to 3-4 while Ansonia fell to 1-6.

Versailles’ Megan Ward had the fourth best score of the day as she rolled a 201. Versailles’ Paige Holsapple had the seventh best score of the day with a 186.
