Buchy sworn in as State Representative

COLUMBUS
- State Representative Jim Buchy (R-Greenville) recently was sworn in as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 130th General Assembly. He represents the 84th Ohio House District, which includes Mercer County and portions of Auglaize, Darke and Shelby counties.
“I am proud to be a member of the 130th General Assembly,” said Rep. Buchy. “The people of the 84th House District are concerned about job opportunities in our rural communities, and that will be a focus of our work in the next two years.”
Representative Buchy previously served in the Ohio House from 1983 to 2000 and was appointed to the 77th District seat in January 2011. He is the former president and CEO of Buchy Food Service in Greenville, and served as the assistant director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture. He also was the policy director at the National Federation of Independent Business.
Representative Buchy served on the Greenville Board of Education and is an alumnus of Wittenberg University.
