Driver injured after crashing into home


DARKE COUNTY - On Monday at approximately 9:46 a.m. Darke County Deputies along with Arcanum Fire and Arcanum Rescue were dispatched to 4110 State Route 49 south in reference to a single vehicle injury accident. 
 
Preliminary investigation revealed a tan 2003 Buick Century driven by Jack A. Davis, 67, of Pitsburg was northbound on state route 49 in the 4100 block. 

His vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, striking a fence.  His vehicle continued through a residential yard and struck the residence at 4110 State Route 49. 

Davis was trapped inside his vehicle, which was inside the residence.
  Davis was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Wayne HealthCare by Arcanum Rescue. 
 
There were two occupants inside the residence at the time of the accident and no reported injuries by the occupants.  Davis was treated and released by Wayne Health Care.
 
This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
