GREENVILLE – Local Greenville student and Eagle Scout candidate T.J. Wenning and the Greenville boy scout troop have built a new wheelchair-accessible ramp onto the Marling Band Shell.
“It was challenging,” T.J. said. “I enjoyed it. Being out here with all my friends and family and bonding.”
T.J. and the boy scout leaders came up with the idea two years ago when a Red Cross event in support of military families took place at the Marling Band Shell. Some of the members were handicapped and could not get on the stage, so the boy scouts remembered to build a ramp for a future project.
