DARKE COUNTY – There is no single group of people more affected by alcohol and drug abuse than young people. But in Darke County, drug use hasn’t seen a major increase in the schools and in the local youth.

While local youth drug use has stayed relatively static in the past five years, the Darke County Sheriff’s Office and the Greenville Police Department are constantly tackling this challenging problem.

“I don’t see any more of a problem now than I did when I started six years ago,” said Greenville Detective Jason Marion. “Generally, most of the time, it’s just misdemeanor offenses.”
