TROY – The Greenville wrestling team beat Piqua and Troy Thursday night at Troy High School.
Greenville beat Piqua 48-31 and beat Troy 43-30. This ends Greenville’s regular season mark at 14-7. This also extends the program’s streak of 37 straight years without a losing record.
Kyle Carlisle went undefeated for Greenville in the 113-pound class, winning by forfeit against Piqua and pinning Troy’s Andrews in 37 seconds.
Hunter Gambrel was undefeated in the 120-pound class, winning by forfeit against Piqua and beating Troy’s Davidson 13-2.
Ian Warner won both of his matches in the 126-pound class by forfeit.
Nelson Roberts won both his matches in the 132-pound class, winning by forfeit against Piqua and beating Troy’s Cannaday 10-4.
William Nibert was undefeated at the 152-pound class, winning by forfeit against Piqua and beating Troy’s Lee 8-1.
Ben Whittington went undefeated in the 182-pound class, pinning Piqua’s Price in 41 seconds and winning by forfeit against Troy.
Nick Woodruff was perfect in the 220-pound class, winning against Piqua by forfeit and pinning Troy’s Kostecka in 1:18.
