Greenville, Ansonia finish top in gymnastics


MIAMISBURG — Greenville’s Paige Keller won the all-around championship and Ansonia’s Samantha Shook finished second at the Dayton city championships gymnastics meet Saturday at Miamisburg High School.

Keller was the all-around champion with a score of 36.075. She won the bars with a 8.800, won the34. vault with a 9.500, was second on the beam with a 8.925 and finished ninth on the floor with a 8.850.

Shook was the all-around runner up with a score of 34.975. She won the beam with a 9.125, was third on the floor with a 9.000, was fifth on the bars with a 8.500 and was 10th on the vault with a 8.350.

Franklin Monroe’s Madison Myers finished the all around with a 30.900. She had a 8.350 on the floor, a 8.000 on the vault, a 7.550 on the bars and a 7.000 on the beam.

Greenville’s Tessa Schatz was unable to participate because of illness.

The Darke County gymnasts will compete at the Southwest District championships Saturday at Lakota East High School.
