GREENVILLE - Saturday, the Darke County Fairgrounds was the home of Illumination Fest, an all day Christian Music gathering where anyone who wanted to could come in and enjoy a number of activities while waiting for a concert featuring bands such as Sanctus Real, or the Richmond-native Adam Cappa Band.
The festival started at around 11:30. Activities included a round-robin volleyball tournament and paintball, provided by i70 Paintball. As the day went on, more and more people started turning up and participating in a Guitar Hero Tournament, or archery, or just sitting and watching local musicians play and sing in the Ohio Center, or attendees could buy merchandise with a Christian theme.
When the concert started at 6:00 p.m. everyone in attendance was treated to the musical stylings of the Adam Cappa Band, which has played at Illumination Fest for the last 3 years, but never in the Grandstand. As a thank you for the "promotion", Cappa and his fellows got the audience's blood flowing with a powerful set of music.
