GREENVILLE - Greenville prep sports returned to the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC) late Wednesday morning when conference officials voted the Green Wave back into the conference that it helped form a decade ago.
Jon McGreevey, director of administrative services, received the news in a phone call from the monthly GWOC meeting, and reported the news to the Daily Advocate.
Tonight, at the 7 p.m. Fall Sports Awards program in the Greenville HS gymnasium, a public announcement of the decision will be made, with superintendent Susie Riegle and GWOC commissioner Eric Spahr expected to be in attendance.
