I am writing about a tragic accident. These parents were teaching their children, not abandoning them like a lot of children get treated. Thursday, April 25, 2013
Recently my adventure with a local consignment ended on a very sour note.
The word “consignment” just what does that really mean? Webster’s has many meanings but the one that sticks in my mind is “to put in the care of another, to entrust.” So, when one consigns their property whatever it may be, it is in the care of another the consignee until sold or returned to the consignor.

The Greenville Schools Foundation thanks all the businesses who supported our sponsorship program at the Greenville High School home Basketball games this season. When I go to the supermarket I witness people yelling at cashiers about long lines and products they do not have and in restaurants I see Waitresses receiving low wages and thirty cent tips. This society has even become judgmental of the less fortunate. I often wonder if people realize how much impact we really do have in other people’s lives.

The conservative Republicans claim to believe in freedom. That means they believe in having weapons used in war to kill people. Only believe in the freedom of religion if you are a Christian. (1 comments) Tuesday, March 05, 2013
Gun laws, traffic laws, marriage laws, etc. This country is still wanting more laws. Let’s simplify it, cut out all the fine print. Let’s make laws that have more clout for any given situation. Tuesday, March 05, 2013
The conservative Republicans claim to believe in freedom. That means they believe in having weapons used in war to kill people. Only believe in the freedom of religion if you are a Christian. Do not approve of a woman’s freedom of choice, or the right of people to marry whom ever they want.
Gun laws, traffic laws, marriage laws, etc. This country is still wanting more laws. Let’s simplify it, cut out all the fine print. Let’s make laws that have more clout for any given situation. If you break a law, say, stop sign, you go through it with out stopping - $500 fine. No excuse. If a person knows what the penalty will be, he or she won’t break it. Second offense, double, etc. Crime will go down to zero.

We Americans are accustomed to newfangled devices to dissolve mystery and illumine the way to a better future. But perhaps antique records may also serve to enlighten both present and future.
