Franks leaving Joy FM

UNION CITY, Ohio – Dan Franks, General Manager at Joy FM, has announced he will be leaving the station at the end of July.

Franks has served as the general manager of the non-profit, Christian music station from it’s beginning of June 1, 1999. He has also served as an on-air host for the station in various timeslots throughout the 16 years it’s been on the air.

“Before Joy FM was on the air, this area didn’t have a full-time Contemporary Christian music station. Now, 16 years later, we’ve seen suicidal people choose life, marriages restored, and people healed. It’s been a privilege to be a part of this ministry,” stated Franks. “It’s time for me to take on a new challenge. While it’s hard to leave Joy FM, I’m excited by this new opportunity.”

No replacement has been named to fill the general manager’s position at this time but an active search is in place to fill the post.

“This station has never been about me. It’s about the ministry and helping people to connect with God. I hope people will continue to support and pray for Joy FM,” commented Franks.

Franks’ last day is July 31.
