Deputies arrest man suspected in multiple arsons

GREENVILE — Tyelor Jamal Henry-Dever, 20, was arrested Thursday for setting several fires on Wednesday.

On July 27 at 11:14 p.m., Darke County 911 Center received a call from a resident at 22 Sherwood Court Greenville, Ohio advising someone threw something onto the deck of the residence and it was on fire. The caller and their family were inside the residence at the time. As Darke County deputies and New Madison Fire Department were responding to the call, at 11:22 p.m., the 911 center received a call from a resident at 23 Friar Tuck advising their porch was on fire.

The caller was alone inside the residence at the time. Deputies and firefighters arrived on scene, the flames were quickly extinguished and no one was found to be injured. Deputies learned a black car was observed fleeing the mobile home park moments after the fires were reported. Deputies and detectives investigated these incidents throughout the early morning hours.

On July 28 at 6:12 a.m., the 911 Center received a call from a resident at 1326 Fort Jefferson Avenue advising they discovered the undercarriage of their vehicle had been burnt but was not actively on fire. Deputies responded to the scene and learned no one sustained any injuries.

Investigators interviewed several witnesses and collected numerous pieces of evidence throughout the course of the day. Henry-Dever was located and arrested without further incident at his residence and was transported to the Darke County Jail where he is currently held on charges of two counts of Aggravated Arson and one count of Arson.

This incident remains under investigation.
