Four women appeared in Darke County Common Pleas Court Thursday following a countywide drug bust conducted by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, and the Greenville and Union City, Ohio, Police Departments.

GREENVILLE — Darke County Common Pleas Court had a busy Thursday following a countywide drug operation conducted by local law enforcement.

On Wednesday morning, officers from Greenville, Union City, Ohio, and Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 14 individuals indicted for drug trafficking offenses.

Eleven of those arrested — six men and five women — were arraigned in court Thursday. All arraigned face felony trafficking charges of varying degrees. Two others have yet to appear in court.

Present in court were Dakoda J. Gilbert, 21, of Greenville; Keagan R. Fair, 27, of Greenville; Timothy W. Spurlock, 49, of Greenville; Rebecca S. Lamma, 57, of Greenville; Taylor Swartz, 21, of Greenville; Alexander P. VanHoose, 19, of Greenville; Shaela N. Thompson, 25, of Union City; Kerry L. Meredith, 35, of Greenville; and Kyllian M. McNutt, 24, of Greenville.

Sierra T. Hill, 30, of Union City, and Dustin C. Copp, 27, of Greenville, appeared via teleconference.

Judge Jonathan Hein explained to the accused their rights and determined which would receive court-appointed attorneys. He also determined what bond was set for each defendant based on information presented by the probation department and from recommendations presented by the Darke County Prosecutor’s Office. Future court appearance dates were scheduled.

Spurlock was charged with two fifth-degree felony counts of trafficking in marijuana. His bond was set at $10,000.

Gilbert will answer to three fourth-degree felony charges of trafficking heroin and cocaine and the sale of counterfeit controlled substances. His bond was set at $25,000.

Hill faces a fifth-degree felony heroin trafficking charge, a fourth-degree felony heroin trafficking charge and a third-degree felony methamphetamine trafficking charge. Her bond is $10,000.

McNutt was charged with fourth- and fifth-degree felony counts of marijuana trafficking. His bond was set at $10,000.

Thompson was charged with two fourth-degree felony counts, involving the trafficking of heroin and drugs. Her bond is $25,000.

Bond was set at $20,000 for Meredith who faces fifth-degree felony counts for trafficking drugs, counterfeit controlled substances, and a fourth-degree count of aggravated drug trafficking.

VanHoose, charged with one fifth-degree felony count of trafficking cocaine, was released on his own recognizance.

Lamma had bond set at $20,000. She is charged with two fourth-degree felony counts of aggravated trafficking of Fentanyl.

Bond for Swartz was set at $20,000. She faces two fifth-degree felony counts of heroin trafficking.

Fair is charged with one fourth-degree felony count of trafficking methamphetamine. Her bond was set at $10,000.

Copp is charged with a fourth-degree felony count of aggravated drug trafficking, and fifth-degree felony counts of drug trafficking and permitting drug abuse. His bond was set at $25,000.

Three others — Amberly Williams, 26, of Dayton, Ryan S. Ruppe, 27, of Greenville, and Lee F. Ware Sr., 47, of Greenville — await arraignment.
