GREENVILLE — A Greenville man accused of hitting a bicyclist was arraigned Wednesday in Darke County Common Pleas Court.
Ethan Louk, 23, appeared via teleconference before Common Pleas Court Judge Jonathan P. Hein to answer to a second-degree felony charge of Felonious Assault. He is currently being held at the Darke County Jail.
Louk was arrested April 19 by Greenville Police after striking a man on a bicycle near Washington Avenue. Judge Hein appointed local attorney Dave Rohrer to represent Louk in court, who entered a not guilty plea for his client.
Bond was set at $25,000. His next court appearance is June 12.
Others arraigned Wednesday via teleconference from the Darke County Jail include:
James Michael Clay Wright, 19, of Greenville is facing a fourth-degree felony count of Attempting to Traffick Heroin into prison. If convicted, he faces a maximum of three years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Also represented by Rohrer, Clay pleaded not guilty. A $15,000 bond from a prior case was continued. His next court appearance is June 12.
Michael S. Dehart, 29, of Versailles faces four felony counts: Aggravated Robbery (first degree), two Abduction counts (third degree), and Having Weapons While Under Disability (third degree). Rohrer entered a not guilty plea on his behalf. If convicted on all counts, Dehart could be imprisoned for up to 20 years and pay a fine of $50,000. His bond was set at $70,000. He will appear again in court June 12.
Michelle Middaugh, 49, of Union City, Ohio, is being held on a fourth-degree felony count of Trafficking Heroin Within the Vicinity of a School. If convicted, she faces up to 18 months in prison and a $5,000 fine. She is represented by Rohrer and entered a not guilty plea. Middaugh was released on her Own Recognizance. Her next court date is June 30.
Tiffany Garner, 23, of Wayne Lakes faces three felony charges: Burglary (second degree), Robbery (third degree) and Theft (fifth degree). She also faces a prior felony counts of Trafficking Heroin. If convicted on the three counts alone, she faces up to 12 years in prison and a fine of $27,5000. Rohrer represented Garner in court, where she pleaded not guilty. A prior $50,000 bond was continued. Her next court appearance is June 12.
Peter Cheadle, 28, of Greenville was arraigned on two felony Burglary counts (third degree), a count of Grand Theft (third degree), and a count of Grand Theft of a Firearm (third degree). If convicted he could spend up to 10 years in prison and pay a $35,000 fine. Judge Hein appointed Rohrer to represent him and entered a not guilty plea on his behalf. Hein set Cheadle’s bond at $35,000. His next court appearance is May 8.
Jacob Marando, 20, of Greenville faces counts of Retaliation (third degree felony), four counts of Vandalism (first degree misdemeanors), and 12 counts of Criminal Damaging (second degree misdemeanors) related to a February incident which saw multiple vehicles vandalized in Greenville. Two others, an adult and a juvenile, also face charges in the incident. If convicted on all charges, he could be imprisoned for up to seven years and pay $29,000 in fines. Marando was released on his Own Recognizance and was given 10 days to hire an attorney. His next court date is June 2.
