Fair royalty to be crowned Tuesday

GREENVILLE — Five young men and 13 young ladies will be competing for the title of Darke County Junior fair King and Queen at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Lighthouse Christian Center, 5256 Sebring-Warner Road, Greenville.

Last year’s royal couple, Thomas Shaw and Jenna Cline, will emcee the program.

King candidates are:

• AJ Warner, 17, son of Pat and Shelly Warner, Arcanum. The Franklin Monroe High School student will be representing Top Notch 4-H Club.

• Zakhery M. Peele, 17, of Laura, and son of Susan Peele and Scott Peele. Attending Miami Valley Career Technology Center, he is a delegate in the pageant for Joyful Jets 4-H Club.

• John Fischer, son of John and Amanda Fischer of Ansonia. The 17-year-old student at Ansonia, will be representing Ansonia FFA.

• Thomas Schmitz, 16, son of Don and Tina Schmitz of New Weston. Sponsored by Junior Fair Board, he is a student at Mississinawa Valley High School.

• Bryant Fox, 17, of Ansonia, son of Tom Fox and Spring Fox. A student at Ansonia High School, he will be a delegate for Greenville Rangers 4-H Club.

Vying for queen will be:

• Rachel Osterloh, 18, daughter of Luke and Sharon Osterloh of Versailles. A student at Bowling Green State University, she is being sponsored by Livestock in General 4-H Club.

• Mariana Ramos, 16, of Greenville, daughter of Pablo Ramos and Marilyn Petty. Home-schooled, she will be representing Fun Bunch 4-H Club at the pageant.

• Brianna Ashmore, 16-year-old daughter of Dave and Amanda Ashmore of Arcanum. Sponsored by Kountry Kids 4-H Club, she is attending Arcanum High School and Miami Valley Career Technical Center.

• Brenna Loxley of Arcanum, daughter of Shawn Loxley and Katrina Smith. The 16-year-old Arcanum High School student, is being sponsored by Swine Koolers 4-H Club.

• Kaytlin Burchett, 17, of Arcanum, daughter of Wendy Larkins. The Miami Valley Career Technology Center student will be representing Darke County Junior Fair Board.

• Katerri Schmitmeyer, 19-year-old daughter of Doug and Brenda Schmiteyer of Versailles. A student at Wright State Lake Campus, she will be representing Darke County Holstein 4-H Club.

• Kaelyn Marker, 17-year-old daughter of Gary and Karry Marker of Rossburg. Attending Pj’s College of Cosmetology, she is sponsored by the Junior Fair Board.

• MacKenzie Rose Herald Dirmeyer, 18 and the daughter of David and Melissa Dirmeyer, Fort Recovery. Attending Wilmington College, she will be representing Mississinawa Valley/MVCTC FFA.

• Alyssa Morgan, 17, of Greenville daughter of Aaron and Stephanie Morgan. She attends school in Versailles and will be representing Versailles FFA chapter.

• Lily George, 17-year-old daughter of Bernie and Heidi May, Versailles. A student at Versailles High School, she is being sponsored by Darke County Beef Club.

• Megan Bergman, 17, daughter of Brian and Lisa Bergman of Rossburg. An Ansonia student, she will be representing Grade-A Kids.

• Danielle Hesson, 16, whose parents are Doug and Sherry Hesson, Versailles. She is attending school in Versailles and will be representing Versailles FFA chapter.

• Morgan Taylor McKinney, 18 of Greenville and daughter of Bradley and Miranda Harleman. A student at Ball State University, she will be sponsored by Darke County Rabbit Raisers.
