GREENVILLE — Two people indicted for possessing heroin are in jail, following the recent grand jury activity conducted for Darke County Common Pleas Court. R. Kelly Ormsby III, Prosecuting Attorney for Darke County, released a report on Grand Jury activity recently conducted by the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Jeffrey M. McDowell, of Greenville, was indicted on a charge of possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony (F-5), based upon an investigation by the Greenville Police Department. He has entered a guilty plea and is currently being held in the Darke County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
Jessica M. Hunt, of Union City, was indicted on a charge of possession of heroin, F-5, based upon an investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office. She is being held on a $20,000 bond.
Misty D. Karnes, of Rockville, Indiana, was indicted on a charge of vandalism, F-5; tampering with coin machines, F-5; and petty theft, a first-degree misdemeanor (M-1), based upon an investigation by the Versailles Police Department. She is being held on a $10,000 bond.
William F. Downey, of Greenville, was indicted on a charge of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, F-5, based upon an investigation by the Greenville Police Department. His bond was set at $5,000.
James L. Brock, of Greenville, was indicted on a charge of two counts of unlawful sale of a dangerous drug, F-4, based upon an investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office. He was granted an own recognizance bond.
Craig E. Hoblit, of Ansonia, was indicted on a charge of telecommunications harassment, F-5, with a specification for a previous conviction, based upon an investigation by the Greenville Police Department. He was released on his own recognizance.
Lindsey Marie Foster, of Greenville, was indicted on a charge of domestic violence, F-4, based upon an investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office. She was released on her own recognizance.
Justin C. Powell, of Greenville, was indicted on a charge of forgery and theft, both F-5, based upon an investigation by the Greenville Police Department. Bond was set at $10,000, but a motion to revoke bond has since been filed by the probation department citing failure to appear as required.
John W. Gertchen, address unknown, was indicted on a charge of vandalism, F-5, tampering with coin machines, F-5, and petty theft, M-1, based upon an investigation by the Greenville Police Department. He also was indicted on similar charges in a separate case based upon an investigation by the Versailles Police Department. A blanket cash bond was set at $10,000 for both cases.
Dustin J. Nick, of Greenville, was indicted on a charge of two counts of trafficking in marijuana, F-5, based upon an investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office. He was released on his own recognizance.
Brian A. Meyers, of Piqua, was indicted on a charge of trafficking in cocaine, F-4, based upon an investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office. He was released on an own recognizance bond.
Jesse A. Railsback, of Dayton, was indicted on a charge of breaking and entering, F-5; theft, M-1; possession of drug abuse instruments, M-2; and endangering children, M-1, based upon an investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office. He was released on an own recognizance bond.
