-9:28 p.m.: theft. Kerry McCulloch was cited for misdemeanor theft after attempting to shoplift $599 in merchandise from Walmart.

July 16

-12:11 p.m.: identity theft. A Greenville woman reported fraudulent online purchases made using her credit cards.

-3:55 p.m.: theft. A drill was reported stolen from Lowe’s by a white male. A suspect was reported.

-9:15 p.m.: vandalism. A resident reported a deep scratch made across the top of her trunk while the vehicle was parked in the 600 block of Walnut Street.

July 17

-10:56 a.m.: vandalism. The gate at the city pool was damaged by an apparent trespasser the night before.

-1:53 p.m.: drugs. Police were called to assist Adult Probation in a welfare check of Shala Partin, who was found to be in possession of capsules of heroin.

-5:22 p.m.: drugs. Candy Chadwick was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after a capsule containing suspected heroin residue was found in her possession during a traffic stop.

July 18

-1:47 am.: burglary. A burglary was reported at a residence in the 200 block of Hart Avenue. The burglar reportedly stole a tablet computer and left a cell phone behind.

July 19

-4:36 p.m.: DUI. Eric York was stopped for driving under suspension and was cited for that offense, open container in a vehicle and operating a vehicle under the influence.

-6:07 p.m.: theft. Alicia Jett was issued a summons for theft and issued a no trespass order to Walmart after attempted shoplifting of $95.67 in merchandise.

July 20

-11:10 a.m.: vandalism. A resident reported an unknown person put a long scratch along the passenger side of his truck, believed to be while it was parked in the 400 block of Tecumseh Street.

-11:45 a.m.: warrant. Dennis L. Fries Jr. was stopped for a traffic violation and was arrested on an active felony warrant out of Hinds County, Mississippi, for a probation violation. He was transported to jail.

-4:08 p.m.: theft. Sarah Bradburn was cited for misdemeanor theft after reportedly shoplifting children’s clothing items from Walmart. She also was issued a no trespass order.

-10:29 p.m.: warrant. Stanley Richards Jr. was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to comply with a court order on an original charge of theft. He was transported to jail to serve an 80-day term with no bond.

Accident

-June L. Ely, 62, of Greenville was cited for an assured clear distance violation after striking a parked, unoccupied motorcycle in the 700 block of Washington Avenue July 20 at 10:20 p.m. The collision caused minor damage to both vehicles.
