Sept. 7

-1:12 a.m.: vandalism. A window was broken at a residence in the 300 block of Tiffin Street by means of a piece of concrete.

Sept. 8

-4 p.m.: vandalism. A business in the 200 block of East Third was vandalized with black spray paint.

Sept. 11

-4:55 p.m.: OVI. Police stopped Rickey Elson who was seen operating a vehicle on a suspended license. He was placed under arrest and incarcerated for felony OVI (operating a vehicle under the influence), open container, driving under suspension and possession of drugs.

Sept. 13

-4:08 a.m.: warrant. Kayla Schaefer was taken into custody on an active bench warrant and held in Darke County Jail on $1,525 bond.

Sept. 14

-6:15 p.m.: forgery. Damon Dickey was arrested while reportedly attempting to cash a company check on a closed account. The checks were reported stolen from a business in Ansonia, and the account was closed, but deputies reported the suspects in the burglary have been using the checks at businesses. Dickey was charged with two felony counts of forgery and was incarcerated.

-8:03 p.m.: domestic violence. A male juvenile was arrested for domestic violence and underage consumption after reportedly punching his grandmother in the eye.

Accidents

-Chelsea Reann Stout, 17, of Greenville, was cited for an assured clear distance ahead violation after a two-vehicle collision Sept. 11 at 3:37 p.m.

According to the crash report, Stout was northbound on North Broadway travelling behind a vehicle driven by Amber M. Maitlen, 30, of Greenville, when Maitlen had to stop for traffic ahead. Stout failed to stop and hit the rear of the Maitlen vehicle.

The Stout vehicle had disabling damage, and the Maitlen vehicle had minor damage.
