Sept. 12

-10:57 p.m.: breaking and entering. Police responded to an alarm at Family Dollar, 300 Martin St., to find the front door had been broken out. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

Sept. 13

-11:42 p.m.: CPO violation. James Hines was arrested for violating a protection order. He was incarcerated and held on $1,025 bond.

Sept. 15

-4:13 p.m.: assault. John Haberny was issued a misdemeanor citation for assault after reportedly punching his victim and grabbing him by the neck outside a residence in the 300 block of East Third Street. A victim had a visible bump and scratches from the incident.

Accidents

-Richard M. Werling, 42, of Greenville, was cited for improper backing after backing from a parking space into a parked car on Imo Boulevard Sept. 7 at 6:20 p.m. Minor damage was sustained by the parked car, owned by Thomas M. Randall, of Greenville.

-A flagpole spotlight was damaged Sept. 10 around midnight on the traffic circle when an unknown driver travelling around the circle went up over the curb.

-Kyla M. Ward, 18, of Greenville, was cited for an assured clear distance violation Sept. 10 after rearending a vehicle at 3:22 p.m. Beverly A. Withrow, 50, of Bradford, had stopped in traffic on Broadway to allow a parked car to back out when her vehicle was struck by Ward’s. Damage to both vehicles was minor.

-Courtney D. Turner, 19, of Ansonia, was cited for an assured clear distance violation after rearending a vehicle Sept. 10 at 4:33 p.m. Adam M. Beavers, 23, of Greenville, was stopped in traffic southbound on Wagner when struck from behind. The Turner vehicle sustained functional damage, while the Beavers vehicle had minor damage.

-Charles E. Devor Jr., 68, of Pickerington, was cited for an assured clear distance violation after rearending a vehicle Sept. 11 at 7:56 a.m. Makenzie M. Barrett, 25, of Greenville, stopped for traffic in the 200 block of Rhoades Avenue and was struck from behind. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.

-Ruth E. Garber, 63, of Greenville, was cited for a marked lanes violation after a collision Sept. 11 at 6:20 p.m. According to the report, Garber crossed the line from her lane southbound on Wagner and sideswiped the southbound vehicle driven by Matthew D. Mochl, 25, of Greenville. Damage to both vehicles was minor.

-An unknown driver left the scene after backing up at the intersection of Ohio Street and River Street and striking the vehicle driven by Mark A. Depay, 44, of Greenville, Sept. 12 at 7:50 p.m. Damage was minor.

-An unknown driver struck a parked car in the 200 block of East Harmon Drive Sept. 15, causing minor damage. The parked car was owned by Christopher T. Schubbe, of Alexandria, Virginia.
