-8:20 p.m.: theft. Amy Jones was cited for misdemeanor theft after a shoplifting complaint from Walmart.

Oct. 19

-12:08 p.m.: warrant. Derick Burton was arrested at Family Dollar, 300 Martin St., on an active arrest warrant through Darke County for failure to appear for a theft charge. He was taken to Darke County jail to serve 99 days without bond. He also was issued a citation for possession of a drug abuse instrument for a needle found during his arrest.

Oct. 20

-10:40 a.m.: vehicle theft. A known suspect reportedly borrowed a vehicle and failed to return it, telling another that he was planning to steal a car and go to Florida.

Accident

-Tori J. Knoop, 17, of Arcanum, was cited for an assured clear distance violation after striking a vehicle stopped in traffic on Oct. 19 at 4 p.m.

According to the crash report, D.K. Hildebrand, 23, of Greenville, was stopped on Martin to make a left turn when her vehicle was struck from behind.

The Knoop vehicle had functional damage, and the Hildebrand vehicle had minor damage.
