Burnside awarded scholarship

GREENVILLE — Adriana Burnside was awarded a scholarship by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting for 2015. She was one of only eight recipients of the scholarship, out of 37 applicants. She was awarded $500.

Burnside attends the surgical technology program at Miami Jacobs Career Center in Dayton and maintains a 3.88 grade point average.

Hanes named to dean’s list

HARROGATE, Tenn. — Ashley Hanes, of Greenville, has been named to the Lincoln Memorial University dean’s list for the spring semester of 2015. To be placed on the dean’s list, the student must be a full-time undergraduate and have a 3.5 grade point average for the semester.

UF announces spring 2015 dean’s list

FINDLAY — The dean’s list for the spring 2015 semester at The University of Findlay has been announced. To earn this achievement, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Local students include the following: Katie Ahrns, of Fort Loramie; Logan Albers, of Maria Stein; Cody Arkenberg, of Fort Loramie; Mitchell Campbell, of Versailles; Preston Deeter, of Ansonia; Katherine Ellis, of Versailles (4.0); Catherine Fischer, of Ansonia; Haley Gray, of Arcanum; Trevor Homan, of Maria Stein; Elijah Kahlig, of Fort Recovery (4.0); Stephanie Mescher, of Maria Stein; Marina Snipes, of Laura; Rebecka Stricker, of Fort Loramie; and Amanda Winner, of Yorkshire.
