DARKE COUNTY – Greenville has once again been recognized by Ohio Magazine, as downtown business Sadie Grace was recently named their 2014 Reader’s Choice for local boutique.
The list of 50 category winners was generated through online votes cast through Ohio Magazine’s website over the course of three weeks this fall.
As stated on their website, Sadie Grace offers a wide range of women’s clothing, accessories, and gifts that bring fashion“From Runway to Broadway.”
The announcement came as a surprise to the owners of Sadie Grace, Dennis and Kirsten Berghoff, who were completely unaware of the upcoming recognition.
“We were shocked,” said Kirsten. “We had no idea about the ballots or voting.”
“I think its humbling to know that we’re on the right path for creating a nice experience for our customers,” said Dennis.
Last year, Ohio Magazine named Greenville as one of the 2013 Best Ohio Hometowns, with Sadie Grace and downtown Broadway featured prominently on the front of the magazine.
“We love downtown. And we really enjoy the atmosphere and seeing it grow,” said Kirsten.
The shop has also received prior accolades since their store opening in September of 2012, including appearing as a finalist through the Heritage Ohio for Best Commercial Rehabilitation Project.
When asked what made their shop standout, the owners replied that they make a concerted effort to cater to their customers.
“We want to keep it a unique shop with customer service, and we want to keep people coming back in for that reason,” said Kirsten.
The full list of winners will be included in the magazines January 2014 issue, although no additional Greenville businesses were recognized as Reader’s Choices.
