DARKE COUNTY — The Darke County Commission recently upgraded to a new website — mydarkecountyohio.com — allowing residents and visitors to explore Darke County via the web.
“It’s a a fresher look with more updated and expanded information for the county,” said Darke County Commissioner Diane L. Delaplane. “We didn’t have ample information before.”
The site let’s people see what the county has to offer and photos of the office locations, said Delaplane. The site serves as a resource to visitors on county news and information, elected officials, county offices, communities and townships.
The website company CGI Group, which has created and maintains several Ohio government websites for more than 20 years, provided a section called Video Tours of Darke County, added Commissioner Mike W. Rhoades. The videos — about county Quality of Life, Economic Development, Real Estate and Relocation, and Community Organizations — were done by CGI at no charge to the county, Rhoades said.
The site was created by CrownRandall Design for $550 and included training for county employees to use.
