DARKE COUNTY — Versailles was ranked No. 9 in Division III in the final Associated Press girls basketball poll of the 2013-14 season.


With this week’s rankings, the Versailles girls basketball team was ranked No. 9 for the third week in a row and fourth times out of six weekly AP polls. The Lady Tigers were ranked as high as No. 7 in the first poll of the season and ranked as low as No. 10 in the third poll of the season.


Versailles did not receive a first-place vote this week, which is just the second time this season that happened.


The Lady Tigers are ranked behind Andover Pymatuning Valley, Oak Hill, Doylestown Chippewa, Archbold, Miami East, Findlay Liberty-Benton, Ottawa-Glandorf and Columbus Africentric in the Division III poll.


Versailles is the lone Darke County girls basketball team to be ranked in the state poll this season.


Several teams with local connections are ranked in this week’s poll. Greater Western Ohio Conference member Fairmont is ranked third in Division I, GWOC member Centerville is ranked ninth in Division I, Cross County Conference member Miami East is fifth in Division III, Midwest Athletic Conference member Minster is eighth in Division IV, and MAC member Marion Local is 10th in Division IV.
