GREENVILLE — The Darke County Tractor Pullers Association once again will hold its very popular two-day pull at the Power of the Past held at the Darke County Fairgrounds Friday and Saturday.
“We have our fast show on Friday night starting at 7 p.m. and the antiques on Saturday morning starting at 10 a.m.,” DCTPA member Duane Edwards said.
“Something new this year, we are going to have a big $6,000 purse,” Edwards said. “When you get a $6,000 purse … that’s a lot of money. There are going to be trucks in here from all over.
“Friday night we have six classes plus the altered gas truck nationals,” Edwards said.

“Saturday morning we have five classes pull,” Edwards said.
Division II Antiques: 4,500 pound, 5,500 pound, 6,500 pound, 7,500 pound and 8,500 pound
The DCTPA gives back to the community each year at its annual banquet including the Kiddie Tractor Pull.
“We always give money to the Kiddie Tractor Pullers to help them not only at the fair but at the Power Show Ohio in Columbus at the end of January and the Farm Safety for Kids. That is something that’s needed,” Edwards said.
Edwards, also a board member of The Power of the Past said, “We (DCTPA) helped get the Power of the Past started. We helped getting things going and it has turned into a great thing for our community.”
