COLUMBUS — Tri-Village earned a pair of the top honors from The Associated Press as senior Tyler Cook was named Ohio’s Division IV co-player of the year and coach Josh Sagester was named the state’s Division IV co-coach of the year.


Four Darke County boys basketball players earned all-state honors from the AP this year, led by Cook being named first team all-state in Division IV. He shared the Division IV player of the year honors with Canal Winchester Harvest Prep’s David Dennis Jr., Convoy Crestview’s Damian Helm and Louisville Aquinas’ Austin Hill.


Sagester was the co-coach of the year along with Convoy Crestview’s Jeremy Best and Canal Winchester Harvest Prep’s David Dennis Sr.


Franklin Monroe senior Travis Feitshans was named third team all-Ohio in Division IV by the AP.


Tri-Village junior Colton Linkous was named honorable mention all-state in Division IV, and Versailles senior Damien Richard was named honorable mention all-state in Division III.
