We are concerned about funding for the Medicare Advantage program. We like our plan and don’t want cuts on top of those that came with the Affordable Care Act to affect it. We have had good experiences with our insurance during times of need, and we are concerned that funding cuts could compromise the quality of the care we receive.
The cost of our dental insurance is already increasing starting in 2014. We don’t want to see our premiums on medical increase as well. More cuts to the Advantage program may force us to cut corners with our medical care. Advantage plans generally result in better health outcomes at a lower cost than regular Medicare, so Congress needs to keep its hands off Medicare Advantage funds.
