DARKE COUNTY - Winner Corp., better known as Winner’s Meats, has officially welcomed its fourth generation with the addition of their newest shareholders - Troy Winner, Greenville, son of Terry and Donna Winner; Will Winner, Maria Stein, son of Bruce and Brenda Winner; Travis Winner, Maria Stein, son of Alan and Nancy Winner; and Jesse Winner, Osgood, son of Brian and Beth Winner.
In conjunction with an article written by Emily Bouthillette for US Business Executive Magazine, we learn that it is evident that the Winner Corp. is thriving with the expansion into the fourth generation. Winner’s Meats was named the top butcher shop in Darke County spring of 2013 for three years running and have spread their wings far beyond Darke County.
Founded in 1928 by Robert Winner, the company began slaughtering hogs and cattle in a barn and processing the meat for local friends and families. Today, the business has grown with locations in Osgood and Greenville under the guidance of three generations. The company, now farms more than 600 acres, where Winner Corp. has the capability to raise 120 head of cattle, support 5,000 hogs in barns at several locations, operate two processing plants that also sell retail meat, live hog buying stations at both these locations, as well as an additional Grocery store in Osgood carrying groceries, fresh meats and deli items.
Customers can order custom cuts of beef and pork as well as quarter, halves and whole hog/cattle grown on their own farm, and purchase homemade award-winning products including their marinated pork chops. In addition to its meat and farming operations, Winner’s has a fleet of trucks and trailers under the name Winner Transport Inc. (WTI) that haul livestock to farms and meatpackers across 24 different states.

The latest change on the website-venturing into social media for the small, family-owned and operated business – is fueled by the Winner’s fourth generation as they become increasingly involved with Winner Corp. operations. In addition to the website, the upcoming Winner clan is helping to expand Winner’s Meats web presence through social media, including Facebook and Twitter outlets.
As the Winner’s fourth generation becomes more integrated in the company, there seems to be no stopping this family-centered operation.
