DARKE COUNTY - On Monday, the Darke County Board of Commissioners approved a proposal between the Village of Pitsburg and Access Engineering Solutions, LLC. in the amount of $8,900 regarding the Jefferson Street Reconstruction project 2013 CDBG Grant Funds.


The commissioners then approved a contract for professional planning services between the Darke County Commissioners and Access Engineering Solutions, LLC in the amount of $48,000 regarding sewer improvements for the County Home and County Jail facilities.


The commissioners approved a transfer of appropriations of $1,000 from the Darke County Kennel’s Building Maintenance line to the Facility Maintenance line to cover a repair bill to the heating furnace.


On Wednesday, the Darke County Commissioners approved two appointments to the Darkle County Housing Advisory Committee during their regular session, which included Steve Eadler and Tom Pitman, who will be replacing Deb Kaiser.


Both new committee members’s terms run from March 2014 to October 2014.


Also on Websnday, the commissioners approved an appropriation increase in teh amount of $50,008.55 due to a 2013 State Probation Improvement Grant that had not been fully appropriated at the beginning of the year.


Later, the commissioners approved a bid from Grow Excavating, LLC in the amount of $5,250 to install 800 feet of pipe located in the county North Farm, which is between Childrens Bradford Home Road and the County Garage. The pipe replacement was due to deteriation over time, as the line was installed in the 1970’s.
