GREENVILLE - Those girls who are planning to be competing in the Miss Annie Oakley Shooting and Costume Contest just prior to the festival are reminded they have to be at the Annie Oakley Park Statue on South Broadway at 6 p.m. today for a photo shoot.

That will also be the deadline for entry forms to be turned in. So, those who want to be in the contest have to show up for the photo session.

No entries will be a accepted after that. The sponsor fee is $50.

Winners are determined solely on shooting ability.

The costume contest takes place after two rounds of shooting in the preliminaries.

Practice will be on July 22, the preliminaries on July 23 and the finals on July 24 at York Woods, 6129 Reed Road at the intersection of State Route 242 and U.S. 127, north of Greenville.
