GREENVILLE – The Greenville First Assembly of God, 7219 State Route 118, will be hosting Greg Olson and his family this coming Wednesday at 7 p.m. They will be sharing their experiences while living and working in Israel for many years. Pastor Dale Boeger and the congregation invite everyone interested to attend this service.

Olson and his family have been serving in Israel for 18 years. Prior to moving to Israel, he was serving as a youth pastor in Layton, Utah at Christian Life Center. His youth ministry was reaching many young people and training them to go and serve!

“Olson and his wife, Tanna, went to Israel on a spiritual pilgrimage to connect to the Land of the Bible. They received a calling to Israel and the Jewish people. Over a very short period of time and after much prayer, they sold everything they had to go to serve in Israel,” said a church representative.

Their ministry in Israel has covered many areas over the years. They currently serve at a local Messianic school in Jerusalem made up of children of all different backgrounds. Also, Olson works with a printing ministry that produces material in Modern Hebrew that is used by over forty Hebrew speaking congregations throughout the land in their Shabbat schools. He also serves on the board of two very special organizations, one that helps in Aliyah (the return of the Jewish people to Israel) and the other that helps elderly holocaust survivors.

Prior to entering into full‐time ministry he served six years in the U.S. Air Force as an E.O.D Technician and completed N.C.O. Leadership School. He is an Assemblies of God minister from the Rocky Mountain District and has been married to Tanna for 27 years. They have three children, Seth, 21, Shirra, 16 and Leah, 13.

Their family resides in Jerusalem and the children have had and currently go to local Israeli Hebrew speaking schools. They attend and serve at a local Hebrew speaking congregation in Jerusalem.

If you’re interested in Israel, you won’t want to miss this coming Wednesday’s service at the Greenville First Assembly of God. If more information is desired, please call 548-5445.
