DARKE COUNTY — Wrestling teams across the state will begin the Ohio High School Athletic Association team tournament on Wednesday.


Greenville is the seventh seed in its region and will begin the tournament against second-seeded Urbana at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Urbana.


Third-seeded Kenton Ridge and sixth-seeded Northwestern also will wrestle at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Urbana. The winner of that match will face the winner of the Greenville-Urbana match that night for a chance to advance another week.


Arcanum is the 11th seed in its region and will face sixth-seeded Miami East on Wednesday in Mechanicsburg.


The winner of the Arcanum-Miami East match will advance to face third-seeded Versailles that night.


Seventh-seeded Madison Plains and 10th-seeded Lehman Catholic also will wrestle at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Mechanicsburg. The winner of that match will advance to face second-seeded Mechanicsburg that night.


Of the six teams competing in Mechanicsburg, the final two unbeaten ones will compete on Wednesday for a chance to advance in the tournament.
